人文旅行纪录片《世界上最传奇的地方 Legendary Locations》（又译：传奇之地）著名的探险旅行家乔什·盖茨，继《探索未知》之后再次踏上了一段充满传奇色彩的探险之旅，这次他将到访那些世界上最传奇的地方，它们笼罩在离奇的传说和恐怖的氛围之中，乔什·盖茨也将用他最独特的视角探索它们的秘密。
乔什·盖茨来到宾夕法尼亚州一所被关闭数十年的疗养院，这里充满了灵异的事件。 1926年10月开业时这里被称为劳伦斯县老年之家，旨在照顾老年人、贫困者以及患有严重精神疾病的人。刚开业不久，这里就人满为患了，医护人员严重不足。在这个疗养院经营的78年的历史中，共有上万人在此居住过，据记载近半数的人在此间去世，自杀事件也屡见不鲜。他们大都被胡乱安葬在疗养院后面的荒野中。所以关于这里的灵异事件传闻不断，乔什·盖茨这次将会在节目中挑战冰探索这里的传闻真实性。
